THE PROBLEM WITH PLASTIC BOTTLES.

There are 1,500 plastic water bottles being consumed every second.

Now you might ask what is the problem with plastic bottles?

Plastic bottles are a huge danger to humans, animals and the environment.

· HUMAN IMPACT

The primary risk associated with the dinking bottled water is the fact that you can be exposed to harmful toxins from the plastic … BPA and the other plastic toxins can then make their way into your bloodstream, which can cause a host of problems including various cancers as well as liver and kidney damages.

· ANIMAL IMPACT

Plastics pollution has a direct and deadly effect on wildlife. Millions of plastic bottles are also floating in these waters, potentially injuring or killing any animals that encounter them. In many cases, marine life will choke on these sharp material shards. But even if an animal is large enough to consume it, the non-degradable plastic will still often cause demise. Over 1 million marine animals are killed each year.

· ENVIROMENTAL IMPACT

Drinking bottles are one of many types of plastic pollution currently causing environmental problems …. About 55% of that plastic was discarded and recycled, meaning the bottles visualized above would likely end up in the environment, landfill sites, or ocean around the world. The entire cycle of bottled water uses fossil fuels, contributes to global warming, and caused pollution.

· The U.S. is the largest consumer market for bottled water in the world, followed by Mexico, Brazil, and China. Bottled water companies and beverages producers work together to turn huge profits. Manufacturers of the bottled water advertise their products as being higher quality, purer and safer than tap water, despite the fact that tap water is actually held to be more stringent quality standards than bottled water. Some brands of bottled water have been found to be tap water in disguise.
